Care Planning

We offer personalized care and the frequency and number of treatments differ from person to person. Some people, especially with acute issues, experience dramatic relief in the first treatment.

For complex or long-standing chronic conditions, one to two treatments per week for several months may be recommended. For acute problems, usually fewer visits are required, often eight to ten visits in total.

Together we will develop an individualized treatment plan that includes a visit schedule during your initial visit.

Fertility

For enhancing your fertility both naturally and in conjunction with conventional fertility treatments a weekly course of treatment for three to six months is often recommended.

In preparation for IVF biweekly treatments for two to three months leading up to the retrieval is the standard of care. On the day of the transfer we strongly encourage acupuncture treatments before and after your transfer.

Pregnancy and Women's Health

Pregnancy

To support your healthy pregnancy we recommend weekly treatments in the first trimester to prevent miscarriage, support the growth of the placenta and embryo and the building of your blood stores and to treat early pregnancy symptoms.

In the second and third trimesters we recommend bi monthly treatment for singletons and weekly treatment for twins. This is the time when we can work deeply to send healthy blood and qi to your growing baby to support development.

Starting at week 36, we recommend weekly treatments to prepare for a healthy delivery and strengthen your blood and energy stores for postpartum.
